I made some minor changes to my project today, and after the build was complete, the QR Code for the BlackBerry will not install the application on the device. Instead it just opens a webpage displaying the content of the .jad file.
My builds yesterday all worked fine using the QR Code to install on the BlackBerry device.

The same is happening for me as well (the .jad is opening as a text file).

I have the same problem.
The funny thing is that at times it works normally.
I've removed "Documents to Go" as indicated by some respondents, and nothing. -

It randomly began working properly again for me this morning. It seems to be sporadic as to when it works properly, and when it links incorrectly.

Hey Guys
I am contacting Hardeep / Andrew to look into this a.s.a.p. Meantime can you try re-upload csk & db signing files and rebuild and see if that helps?
Thanks

Well, it stopped working for me again. It worked this morning, the QR code and the Install link both worked properly. But now it is incorrect again, I just made a code change and did a re-build and now the links both open the .jad file as text in a browser window rather than prompting the install. It almost seems as if it is possibly pointing to the wrong file on the s3.amazonaws.com site.

I have the exact same problem...every single app opens webpage displaying the .jad files contents. Any news to what the problem is and how to fix it?

-
Same problem, but older apps I created work fine, just new one fail.
-
-
Any solution or workarounds for this yet? It's making testing and development for blackberry impossible at the moment.

This is really bad...why has nobody replied to this topic with any information about what the problem is?

Is the Phonegap team even aware of this issue or reading the posts in this topic? There has been no word of what the problem is...

It's obviously a MIME type issue of the server hosting the files. I couldn't wait around so I just went directly to the BlackBerry WebWorks site and used those tools to compile the app and download it directly to my device. Until they fix this issue, that's about the best solution.

Hi James. Which tools did you use to compile the app and how did you do it? I would really appreciate your help.

There is some good WebWorks documentation here: https://developer.blackberry.com/html...
You'll need to download the WebWorks SDK and Ripple (it's an emulator, but it will compile and sign your apps as well). You'll have to change your app's config.xml file, but not by much, and there are some good examples there. Once you compile it you can transfer it directly to your device, or put the files on your own server for an OTA install. If you do the OTA route, make sure to change your .htaccess files to allow the .cod and .jad files (just do a google search, you only have to add two lines, it's really quick and simple).
Hope that helps you out. -

Thank you so much James! Really appreciate the help as I am desperate to get my Blackberry project to the app store. Just one last question. How do I transfer it to my device?
-
-
Sorry about this issue guys - there was a problem with how we were using our S3 library.
We've patched this now - please rebuild your affected apps and you should be able to use the QR codes correctly. -
-
Is this working for anyone else?
For me it is still the same. I've done a "Rebuild all". -

Work on my test app.
Five Site, what is your appid and which platform generate wrong QR code? All?
Thanks

The download link and the QR code for the blackberry both go to a text file, but it was previously working. -
